Gridkids

Gridkids

Tri Sport Taupo is pleased to announce our involvement with Grid kids Taupo. This is a great new annitiative funded by Youthtown and run by local Shanelle Barrett. More information to come but visit http://www.gridkids.co.nz/ for more information. The event date is Sunday the 21st of March. We will be having weekly training sessions up to the event starting the week of 15th Feb 2010.

We have 5 training sessions organised for Gridkids starting on Tuesday the 16th of February (10-15 years olds) and Wednesday the 17th (7-9 year olds). Download the full information Here.

Ironkidz is on its way!! Sunday the 28th of February is the big day for this.

Cameron Durno is announced Regional Youth Development Officer for the Taupo region... This is a great opportunity for our youth and parents to gain knowledge from a local coach with it being fully funded by Youthtown and Tri NZ. Cam will be out at our events asking questions and providing helpful advice.

NEW AQUATHON SERIES IN 2010

Tuesday 2nd February - Aquathon # 2 (Visit the 'Picture gallery' for Photos and 'Results' for results)

The second Aquathon of the series began with a brief shower that did nothing to dampen the spirit of those competing. A choppy lake greeted those swimming the 820m swim with a 3.5km run to finish. A strong field of 20 individuals and 5 teams completed the course with Pete Cook the first out of the water. James Weal was the first individual male in a time of 26mins 14sec with Nicole Van der Kaay the first female in 27mins 26sec. A great result for the youth development squad!!
